Please send us an email at stcroixrowing@yahoo.com to put your name on a waiting list for 2018. Thanks for your interest in our learn to row program.

Learn to Row! You've seen those sleek rowing shells gliding quietly along the St. Croix River and thought… Hey, I'd like to do that! Now's your chance to experience a unique activity and meet other energetic people who enjoy being outdoors and staying active!
Whether your ambition is simply to try a new sport, row for pleasure and health,
or compete – this is the place to start! Learn to Row is open to adults who are
competent swimmers in good physical health. Our fleet of boats will accommodate participants
weighing up to 200 lbs. Space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis so don't delay!

You will be introduced to the fundamentals of the rowing stroke on a rowing machine
and in a rowing shell. You'll learn rowing terminology, boat balance and control,
proper equipment handling, wet launching and landing, and basic safety in a fun
and comfortable atmosphere.

What If I Already Know How to Row?
If you're a competent sculler contact us at the email address above to learn more about joining. Sorry, if you only know how to sweep you'll still have to go through our Learn to Row program.

Due to our club's small size, SCRC does not offer a youth program. Interested 16 and 17 year-olds may contact us for a private/semi private introductory lesson.
