Kris' Introduction to Skills Clinic
For the 2nd/3rd/4th,etc.... year rowers looking to improve their rowing.

Participants will gain an understanding of and insight into the rowing stroke, and feel more comfortable in a boat, whether a single, double or quad. Interested in racing? Share her Trial-and-Error learnings to make racing more approachable and less intimidating. This schedule can help participants choose which sessions to attend (or avoid!). Skills may be added, shuffled or deleted, depending on feedback.

Many of you have joined me for skills sessions in the past years, so some of these topics will look familiar. I have been working on many of theses skills and techniques for the past 14 years, and continue to do so. Even if you "aced" the session topic/ technique in the past, I can always find new ways to challenge you!

Please let me know if you are interested in racing skills and techniques, and I will add sessions to include racing topics

This year, we will be trying a new approach to bowing. Any and all sessions can be done in a single or in a double. The intent is to help those interested in becoming bow certified work on their skills in a double. There need to be at least 2 people interested in rowing a double for this to work. Please note that you do NOT need to row with someone who is already bow-certified! We will allow 2 rowers who are not bow-certified to row together during Skills sessions. When you sign up for a session, please indicate if you would like to row a single or a double. If you will be needing a club boat, please sign out the boat you would like to use. NOTE: I am willing to use my private double for these sessions as needed, so we can accommodate up to 6 people who would like to work on bowing!

Sign up on this page for the sessions you will attend.
Please indicate if you will be using your own boat or a club boat.
If you will be using a club boat, please remember to reserve the boat on the boat sign-up page. Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance to let me know how many intend to attend a particular session, so I can be better prepared for that day's program. There is no limit on the number of participants!

All Sessions: 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. Please arrive early enough to be ready to row by 6:45.
